In the 1991 film, “Silence of the Lambs,” Hannibal Lecter was once a psychiatrist turned murderer. In the scene depicted above, Hannibal poses Officer Boyle’s body as if he is being crucified during his escape of the county prison. Some articles (http://visupview.blogspot.com/2011/05/silence-of-magicians-part-ii.html) speculate that this scene was intended for the officer’s body to mimic Jesus on the cross, claiming some symbolism of Lecter acting in a “god like” manner. This may be considered a crime turned into art due to it’s presentation in the movie. Clearly, Officer’s Boyle’s body was a presentation of Lecter’s abilities and intelligence as a serial murder.
