Graffiti can be seen all over neighborhoods, especially in lower income neighborhoods where poverty is present. But even in more prosperous neighborhoods can graffiti be seen. Graffiti in itself is an act of vandalism which is a punishable crime, but if tastefully done have been accepted in many neighborhoods rich and poor. Electrical boxes, for example, are a very popular target for graffiti artists because of its flat surfaces which can be easily seen by people who pass by it. Like stated before, if tastefully done, neighborhoods accept and appreciate the art and don’t bother erasing or painting over the crime.
