This is probably one of the most visually pleasing skate videos I have ever seen. It is quite obvious that the director is trying to make something more artistic than just a video of skating tricks. There are beautiful settings and shots of the local culture intertwined in the video. However, there are others who may not agree with me. Many people believe skating is a criminal activity and this topic has been touched upon in our Art and Crime class. Skating often destroys property and is seen as a nuisance. In the video you can see that the rider does cause some damage to the streets, sidewalks, and walls that he rides on. Do you believe that the skating in this video is still a crime despite how artfully it is depicted?
