Forgery is a crime that is intrinsically artistic. Looking here at the film Catch Me If You Can (2002), you can see how Frank, played by Leonardo DiCaprio, really creates a work of art in forging checks. Forgery is a notable artistic form of crime because it takes a lot of artistic skill in most cases. However in Catch Me If You Can, the forger, Frank, ends up getting caught and later works for the FBI in identifying other forged checks. Here is an example of how his talents were used for crime, but were later put to better use in catching crime.
