Most people argue that rap music degenerates society and stereotypes black men, but in reality it is a form of art. Like this song and other forms of rap music, the purpose is to evoke a strong feeling from people. Rap is a different form of poetry. You express your feelings not by drawing or writing inspirational pieces but singing about the hardships of everyday life. While this form of art is less appreciated than other forms it still has an impact. “I ain’t saying it wasn’t wrong, but they had the freshest fits The cars and the broads and the kicks Is something to strive for when you ain’t never had shit I’m feeling like what the fuck, they want my soul Like my ancestors’ ain’t enough”
