Peter Gibson is known for his street designs using lines already drawn on the street and adding to them to create his own works. He was arrested for his many creations like the one above. In this case, I think that these helpless crimes could be seen as disrupting societal structures. However, I believe them to be a good kind of creative disruption where the streets are usually so plain and one-demential. Our streets are normally straight white or yellow lines that perpetuate simplicity and boringness. Here Gibson creates a kind of detournement in which most people would do a double take. I think that his work is disruptive in a good way, making the streets more interesting as opposed to the usual mundane scenery we see in the city when we look at the ground. http://www.khaleejesque.com/2013/02/art-design/artist-peter-gibson-creatively-stencils-the-streets/
