Sadie Roberts-Joseph was the founder of Baton Rouge Odell S. Williams Now&Then Museum of African-American History and the founder of NGO organization, Community Against Drugs and Violence. She fights for African American rights in her whole life. She also starts the activity called Juneteenth Celebration. This activity celebrates the abolition of slavery in Texas, which have a deep influence in the African American society.

Two months ago, July 12, 2019. Roberts-Joseph was murdered. Her body was found in her truck, and 3 miles away from his home. The killer was a man who rents Joseph’s house and owes her $1,200.

Joesph’s friend and polices said Joesph’s death was a big loss for the whole African American community.
